Dylan O'Brien Almost Unrecognisable In First Photo After Maze Runner Accident

There's A Smile

There's A Smile

So, if there's one positive that we can take away from this it is that Dylan O'Brien has a smile on his face.

He looks happy, if not a little homeless...

Just A Few Weeks

Just A Few Weeks

The 24-year-old actor was hit by a car while filming the latest Maze Runner film, Maze Runner: The Death Cure.

Not long after that, the film's director, Wes Ball, took to social media to ensure fans that it would only be a few weeks before Dylan was back to work and filming could begin again.

But that was March...

Then, In April

Following the March accident, it was in April that reports emerged that O'Brien's injuries may be a little more serious than the director and the rest of us had first thought.

Filming halted indefinitely, and we all began to wonder how the film and its star would fare in future...

Unless you're really awful at math, you'll have figured out that it's now four and a half months on and this is the first we've seen or heard of the actor's condition.

It must be said that, considering we didn't know how he was, to see him posing and smiling with fan, and Twitter user, Vanessa Denegri, is a great thing.

But What's Up With The Beard?

But What's Up With The Beard?

While it is great to see he's healthy enough to smile, and he looks comfortable and relaxed, could it be that he is a bit too relaxed?

His beard kind of hints at someone who'd forgotten about the outside world and only just emerged from his bedroom after more than four months, drugged up on painkillers.

Then again, it's not the worst beard we've ever seen...
