Blind Expectant Mother Gets An Ultrasound And Is Amazed As Doctors Help Her "See" Her Baby For The First Time

Technology and Magic

Technology and Magic

The moment a mother first lays eyes on her baby is magic (well, most of the time it is - I guess there are also those times where it's total panic and fear but hey, let's stick with positives for now).

Thanks to the marvels of technology, expectant parents can, of course, see their baby in an ultrasound. In fact, that tech has come so far that parents can even see a 3D image of their young one, rather than the old fuzzy blob on the screen.

But What If Mom Is Blind?

But What If Mom Is Blind?

All that is fantastic and all, but what if mom can't see anything? What is she happens to be blind? Surely she will just have to miss out on all of that, right?

Expectant mother, Tatiana Guerra, was in that exact same scenario. She's the subject of a touching ad made by Huggies Brazil, in which they show the moments when the expectant mother is first able to "see" her baby.

I Want To Show Him The Ocean

I Want To Show Him The Ocean

Tatiana has been blind since her teenage years. She talks to and of her son and says "“I want to show him the ocean,” she says, “for him to feel the sand between his toes, the smell of the salt, the fresh breeze on his face.”

The Real Kicker

The Real Kicker

When she goes in for the ultrasound, the doctor begins to describe how Tatiana's baby looks. It's a touching moment and you're going to want the tissues for it, but it's what follows that's the real kicker. It's when Tatiana is given the opportunity to feel her baby's face via a 3D printout that will really hit you in the heart!

As we said, you're probably going to want to get a tissue before you watch this video. It can really pull at the heart strings, however, it's most certainly in a good way. Enjoy.
