What If It's A Good Idea To Text Your Ex On Valentine's Day?

You're Alone On V-Day?

You're Alone On V-Day?

Are you going to be spending Valentine's Day alone? (And by alone, we're also including those who have a bottle of red wine for company).

Well, there are many others, of course but you probably find that about as comforting as cold shower on a winter's morning.

There are so many who would tell you that it's a bad idea to message your ex in such a situation, however, what if they're just plain old wrong...??

What If...

What If...

Of course, there are a few questions you're probably going to start asking yourself, and most of them are "What if they reject me and I end up feeling even worse?"

Some others; What if they're happy with someone else? What if they're angry at me or even hate me? What if they just want a FWB hookup?

Do You Want More?

Do You Want More?

Nobody is here to tell you there's anything wrong with a casual hookup, if that's what it is you're after, however, considering this is someone you had actual feelings for (and let's be honest, you still do), perhaps that would just wind up making you feel worse and undervalued.

But, What If....

But, What If....

Let's ask this question; What if you messaged them and you meet up and you both fall in love and live happily ever after? We're not saying it is definitely going to happen but if it is, then surely Valentine's Day is the day to start afresh, right?

Devil's Advocate

Devil's Advocate

Sure, you could end up getting hurt by being the one to make the first move but then again, you could be so glad that you did. Love is a complicated game, but this is the time of the year to play.

Let's suppose that you do hookup again, you've sorted out past differences and issues that held you back last time, and you realize that this love was meant to be. It's happened before. Sometimes, people just need a little time to get themselves straight about matters of the heart. If there's a perfect time to rekindle it and give it a second shot, then Valentine's Day is that time.

How would you feel is you were somehow able to see that it would work but you never gve it a go?
